By using this menu option, you can add new fields in the report options edit mode to an existing report. In addition to the menu option, this functionality may also be accessed by pressing the button in the report options.

After executing this option, the dialogue to add a new field is presented.

Define the following information for the field:

·Field name  
·Field description  
·Use this field in a chart  
·And the field type  

You may now use the button "add" to create this field and create additional fields without leaving the dialogue. Click "OK" to create the field and close the dialogue. As soon as the field has been created by use of the "add" button, all input fields are cleared.


Note:
The option "use filed in chart" should only be activated for fields which are actually going to be used in charts. By activating this option the field contents will be passed to a chart object. If fields which are not used in charts have this option activated, this will require unnecessary processing time during the transfer of data.
